Federation of European Nutrition Societies (FENS)
The Federation of European Nutrition Societies (FENS) is a non-profit Federation consisting of European Nutrition societies each representing one country.

FENS was established for public benefit to advance research and education in the science of Nutrition on the European level. It supports regional and European wide initiatives regarding translation of science into practice and international collaboration. Further, FENS is representing the Nutrition Societies in the European Institutions and promotes the importance of Nutrition for public health in Europe.

The main FENS event is the European Nutrition Conference, arranged every 4 years. The last event (12th European Nutrition Conference) was held in Berlin 20 – 23 October 2015. Dublin plays hosts to the 13th European Nutrition Conference, which will take place in the Convention Centre Dublin in October 2019. At each conference, a new FENS board is elected by the member societies, which will govern until the next conference.
